V-Minion Dual rail mod

update: added my own 1.1 top design as well :-) (see last picture)

2pcs 250mm rails (mgn12h Z2 medium preload)

3pcs M5x12 (for the new x-plate
1pcs milled X-plate (7mm thick)

DISCLAIMER… the ali plate is only 6mm thick on the AliExpress drawings
but some have received a 7mm plate 
6mm can give some issues with leadscrew!

I have provided the step file of the plate if you want to mill it your self
(DO NOT PRINT THIS IN PLASTIC)

PS. the 2 top parts need to be printed as well (ONLY FOR THE 1.1)

assembly tips:

1. Replace the printed parts on top of Z extrusion (only on 1.1)
2. if printer is assembled. remove old rail and x-plate
3. mount both rails and X-plate loosely(not to the X extrusion)
4. adjust 1 rail so it's parallel to the Z extrusion and tighten it
5. move X-plate up and down a few times (2nd rail will self align)
6. tighten 2nd rail
7. hold the 2 carriages up against the top part (to align them)
8. tighten the x-plate the the 2 carriages 
9. mount the x-extrusion to the x-plate loosely 
10. align the x-extrusion (the 2x soda can trick) and tighten the 3 M5 screws

all this can be done while the rest of the printer is full assembled
