I'm trying to introduce my students to the 3R's and I thought to lead by example with a reuse, repurpose example they can see live in class and that I could use at home.
With this system you can use all the parts of a normal prusa mini spoolholder and rearange them to have a dual spoolholder to prevent moisture in your filament, has been made with an ikea 365 large box in mind, but it will work in any other that fits. Also if you have animals at home, this can prevent them to play with the spool.
The idea is to add a central piece (printed in two flat halfs) and two side ones with a radius to optimize space. The central rails have to be extended as well. You can check the added pieces in the picture colored in pink.
You will need extra screws:
M3 30mm x2
M3 10mm x2
M3 nut x2
Thanks to prusa for all their models and software, plase, never change your philosophy.
The author remixed this model.
This adaptation allows to repurpose almost all the prusa mini spoolholder parts to make a dual spool holder that works in a budget ikea365 box to prevent excessive moisture in filament spools.
