PDF

The case is designed for a Raspberry Pi5 with the official active cooler. The snap closure is easy to close and can be reopened again without damage. An integrated air duct for the fan prevents internal air circulation. The SD-card slot is covered with a sliding lid. The status LED is visible throgh an integrated  lens in the power button.
Thin walls near HDMI and USB-C port allow the usage of bulky connectors.
Optionally the board can be screwed to the bottom part of the case with screws M2.5x6.

There is a standard version for the top part and a version with a cutout for the GPIO connection.

Slice info

All parts are printed with a nozzle diameter of 0.4 mm using PETG filament.
layer height = 0.2 mm
infill = 100%
perimeter = 2
perimeter = 3 for the first layer of the top part only (avoids zigzag patterns on the bars)

A precise slot with a straight top edge is required for the SD-card cover and power button to function properly.
Even if possible to print the botttom part of the case without support, it is strongly recommended to support these critical points.
Type organic worked very well and was very easy to remove.

Power Button

There exist several options for the push button:

A) Print entirely with transparent clear filament
infill = 100% for good visibility of the status led

B) Print with colored filament using a small piece of transparent clear filament (d = 1.75 mm) as light guide

C)  Print with colored filament using a small piece of transparent clear material 2.8 - 3mm diameter as light guide

D) Print with colored filament using a small piece of transparent clear filament (d = 1.75 mm) as light guide;
bore slanted for better visibility of the led

The hole should be cleared with a drill of appropriate diameter.
The transparent light guide can be pressed in or fixed with a little glue.

For proper functioning it is essential that the outside of the button is very smooth.
