If, like me, you own an IKEA Alex drawer unit, you'll appreciate how things can get ‘lost’ and difficult to get at from the back of the drawer.
This sentiment is shared by prolific maker Alex Chappel and his solution to this demonstrated on his YT channel.
So while it looks like 3x organiser inserts are ideal for kitting out 1 Alex drawer, there's a catch.
For reasons known only to IKEA, the taller 9 drawer unit is shallower than the 5 drawer unit. The upshot of this is that Chappel's system only accommodates 2 drawer organisers leaving a gap.
Following Alex Chappel's split design my mini drawer organiser works in exactly the same way, using filament to hold the 2 parts together.
Simply download the STL and print 2x, join and slot perfectly into the gap.
Note this mini drawer is for the half height drawers of the IKEA Alex unit.
