Andrew Sink - Pen Holder 3D Scan

I got 3D scanned by NYCAP3D while at the CDFAM Symposium in New York City, October 2024 and I wanted to make something a bit more functional with my 3D model.

NYCAP3D use a mobile scanning setup that has 162 Canon T7i 24.2 megapixel cameras all shooting simultaneously to capture the photoset. Even on the 100k triangle model, the detail is impressive! 

I made a few edits to the scan (angle of the arm, removed some islands, etc.) in Blender before exporting as a printable .stl.

Prints great with tree supports.
