Description

I remixed this model for use with 1/4" nuts and bolts rather than m5. I moved the holes a bit more centered in the print for stronger walls. I rotated the 3rd nut hole so it can be printed without supports.

I wanted to mount my Makita combo drill case vertically from it's side using 2 feet rather than on it's bottom using 4 feet, so that I could fit more on top of my Packout (Packout backpack, Dell laptop case (also mounted with these feet) and the drill case). For this I made sure to increase the walls from 2 to 4 layers and printed on an angle to avoid the side tabs from shearing off/delaminating while pulling the Packout over uneven surfaces as the case will wobble a bit and is quite heavy.

I recommend printing on an angle to increase the strength and reduce shearing force/delamination, no supports needed.

Each foot requires 3 x ¼" Nuts and 3 x ¼" bolts at ¾ or 1" long, depending on the thickness of what you are mounting them to.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

I remixed this model for use with 1/4" nuts and bolts rather than m5. I moved the holes a bit more centered in the print for stronger walls. I rotated the 3rd nut hole so it can be printed without supports.

I didn't modify the latch.
