The minimum plunge depth of the Festool Domino DF500 joining machine is 12mm when using any Domino size other than 4mm.
When joining material to the face of 12mm plywood a plunge depth of less than 12mm is desired. This attachment for the Domino machine reduces the plunge depth on any setting by the distance specified in the filename.
For using 5mm Domino tenons in the face of 12mm thick plywood I suggest the 7mm spacer. The 12mm depth setting on the Domino machine is then reduced to 5mm.
When using a 5mm Domino, the 5mm plunge depth into the face of the 12mm plywood can be combined with a 25mm plunge depth into a corresponding part. The 5mm Domino tenon is nominally 30mm long.
The different spacer distances can be combined with different plunge settings on the machine to cut mortises of almost any depth under the machine's maximum plunge depth of 28mm.
I have also included a STEP file that can be modified easily to any desired thickness.
