Nikon 1 J4 Grip

…. for a better grip since im used to a larger format DSLR. Designed for a Nikon 1 J4.

Features:

• Battery & MicroSD accesible
• Nikon FT1 (+ quick release plate) compatible
• 3 Holes to tap ¼-20 UNC threads or for thread inserts
• Optional grip texture (including modifier for “fuzzy skin” only on the grip)
• Lip on the rear to prevent scratching the touchscreen

Requires:

• ¼ -20 UNC screw to mount the grip

Printing:

• I recommend to print atleast the lower plate with hig infill/solid
• Support only on camera screw recess

How to put fuzzy skin only on the grip area:

Option 1:

• Open  “Nikon 1J4 Grip V2 - Slicer” in PrusaSlicer as project

• Adjust to your liking

• Slice & print

Option 2: 

• Open “Nikon 1J4 Grip V2” in PrusaSlicer
• Right click the model > “Add modifier” > “Load …” > select “1J4 grip texture modifier”

• The modifier will be in the right place
• Now right click the modifier > “Add setting” > "Fuzzy Skin"

• Enable Fuzzy Skin and adjust to your liking

• Print
