This is, for me, the ultimate phone stand. It let's you use the gestures of the phone and does not block the phone loud speaker.
I really suggest printing it on one of the sides, to minimize the need of bridges. I print it without support, and if my printer can, yours probably can too.
I printed it in PLA, with 3 perimeters. I tried with 4 but the added sturdyness does not seem to be worth the printing time and materials.
The gaps are 11, 12 and 8.5 mm. I made the last one for my ipad 9th gen, and it fit so good.
I really liked the Ikea Bergenes phone stand, but it has a really big problem, and the model i'm remixing from has the same problem: during a hands-free call (or better a videocall) the other person will almost only hear themselves. This because the loud speaker sound has a clear path towards in the microphone, and no other way out. I solved it by making some big holes in the bottom, so sound can escape. Added bonus: sound will be redirected toward you, this will not be a groundbreaking difference but is appreciable.
Furthermore, the surface where the bottom of the phone rests is inclined, much like the Ikea Bergenes. I feel like it makes the phone more stable.
The author remixed this model.
Open bottom so sound can escape, added a new slot of 8.5 mm, make it so you can more easily use your phone gestures for navigation.
