I love Julius3E8's dice tower, but I felt the hinge point was too loose, which meant it could come apart in a backpack or even with a little shake.
I made the tabs on the tower bigger (both wider and with a larger radius) to give them a tight connection.
I printed in PLA on an Ender 3 v3 SE at a scale of up to 150% without needing supports.
You may need to sand or scrape the tabs post-print to get the tray to snap on completely--make sure to snap it together in the “folded-up” position.
I've found 100% scale to work for Chessex-style dice, but larger/fancier dice (metal dice, liquid-filled dice, etc) get stuck. 150% is way too large for a scale up--I'll update this post with the proper scale once I find it.
The author remixed this model.
Increased the size of the tabs on the tower to ensure a more snug fit between tray and tower.
