If you're like me and have trouble getting your prosthetic socks aligned so that they don't get jammed in the socket then this is the tool for you. Simply slip it on your pin before you put on your socks and it helps align them quickly and easily. Actually, this tool serves three functions:

  1. Centers the sock over the pin automatically as you pull on the sock, thereby minimizing the possibility of sock jam
  2. Makes it easier for the pin to make it through the hole in the sock when you first put it on
  3. If you can't see your pin over the end of your liner, this tool makes it easier to see which way that it's pointing so that when you insert your leg in the socket then it's pointing in the right direction

I recommend printing without supports. There may be a few stray plastic “threads” on the inside when you're done. These can be easily cleaned up with a pair of needle nose pliers or a flat head screwdriver.

I also recommend printing in PETG, though PLA should work too. The pins are rough and cause wear on the tool.  PETG has a bit more give so should not wear out as fast

The tool will go on hard the first few times that you use it. But after a couple of uses, it should slide on easily
