All of the cup holders and accessories I've seen have been mounted inside the main compartment of the Motocompacto.  This causes issues when converting the scooter into a suitcase for carrying.

This shaft collar based accessory mount clamps directly onto the front post, allows easy tool-free removal of the attached accessory, and allows for full conversion into scootcase mode.  You will need the following hardware:

  • 1X M6 x 16mm long screw (any with a flat bearing face works; I used a socket head cap screw, but a regular hex head bolt, pan head screw, etc… would work too)
  • 1X M5 x 30mm long screw (recommend socket head cap screw)
  • 1X M5 Nylon locking element hex nut
  • Impact absorbing foam to line the cup holder (I have sacrificed coffee to the street for this information)

Also I recommend making this out of something more robust than PLA.  I made mine out of ABS, and it was able to withstand multiple full batteries worth of trips without any damage or movement of the clamp collar.

I've included a cup/drink holder as the first accessory attachment, however please note that due to the lack of suspension on the Motocompacto, you may have to line the base of the cup holder with some sort of shock-absorbing material.  I chose to use some very loose open-cell foam adhered to the bottom of the cup with spray adhesive.  Just sand the attachment lug to a snug yet still removable fit and you're ready to scoot!

Per my usual M.O. I have included both STL files AND the original FreeCAD files so you can make your own stuff!
