I got tired of the constantly scuffed fingers or dropped inbus wrench, so I designed my own slightly overengeneered model of the inbus wrench handle (allankey).
The primary goal was to make the handle grip well and also offer reasonable stiffness and strength. I think it was quite successful and so I offer the model for others to download. Feel free to throw any possible reservations in here.
All parts are oriented for printing.
Layer height: 0.2mm
Perimeters: 3 to 4
Filling: 30 to 40%
Supports: not needed
Material: PETG and ASA (or ABS)
Especially for the core, I would recommend ABS or ABS material. If you don't have or your printer can't handle printing these materials, I would try using PLA instead of PETG. Because PETG is more flexible, while PLA will offer more rigidity. In this case, but count on PLA to loosen over time and the key will have play in the printed part and will have to reprint these parts in PLA.
The rest of the parts can be PETG. I have printed everything from ABS and have been using the keys for several months with no problems. So I think they pass the test :-) .
Soft grip is designed for TPU or other soft material. But I haven't had a chance to test it yet.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
