I designed this for a kids halloween costume. I'll add the top part when I finish it (will be a donut FYI) but if anyone needs a long staff that you can print in one run here you go. The top posts are Ø11.9mm and the holes are Ø12.0 if you want to add your own custom top.
I was really worried about this coming loose because it's so tall, I added small tabs between the sections at two heights and it worked! I used Overture Silk PLA. There probably are better ways to do this so feel free to improvise. Maybe using supports could help eliminate the need for tabs. I'm sharing individual post files as well as the 6-pack in case you want to do something different.
Make sure you have very good bed adhesion, I washed my prusa satin build plate with warm soapy water and then IPA before the build. I also added an internal brim. I cut the tabs/brim away with a sharp razor knife. This worked ok but took about an hour to get them nice and flush. Make sure you remove all of the brim, adding a chamfer to the hole is much better than leaving overhang when you go to put them together. These parts actually fit much more tightly than I planned (I was going to glue them together) but it turned out that it was just enough to go together, not break in the process and not need any glue, so I'm leaving it as is. I'm adding my MK4 .3MF prusaslicer file too, because I made the bottom 30mm and top 25mm solid to make a strong connection between the segments. This probably isn't needed but it feels pretty solid to me which I like. do what you think is best. Enjoy!
