Prusa Y-Belt Tensioner
This easy-to-install tensioner for the Prusa 3D printer’s Y-axis belt consists of two printed parts. Unlike the original, which is mounted underneath the printer and difficult to adjust, this design allows for convenient adjustment directly from the front using a hex key below the LCD screen.

The model is printed with a carbon blend filament for enhanced strength and durability. It uses 3 perimeters and 20% gyroid infill for optimal balance between rigidity and flexibility.

Assembly requires:

  • 5 M3 square nuts
  • 4 M3 socket head screws (10 mm length)
  • 1 M3 socket head screw (20 mm length)
  • 1 compression spring (10 mm length, 8 mm outer diameter, 0.9 mm wire thickness)

With this tensioner, you can easily fine-tune the belt tension, improving both accessibility and print accuracy.
