Vial Cap B for the Pioreactor

This is our Vial Cap B design for the Pioreactor. It has 24-400 threads, and four barbs for 3/32 tubes (but other sizes may fit)

Printing

Important: only use high-temperature plastics if you plan to heat-sterilize this cap. We use Prusa's Polycarbonate-CF

• 3 vertical shell perimeters
• 0.15mm layer height
• Turn off fan cooling completely
• Bridges fan speed: 15%
• Seam position: Random
• ≥ 290C
• Print right-side up
• Print with snug supports supporting the top of the vial.

Adding an o-ring insert underneath

To avoid leaks, we add a 1/16" W, 3/4" ID, 7/8" OD o-ring underneath. It's secured with some high-temperature silicone. Tip: we put the uncured silicone into a syringe.
