Jar Lid Lug Type, Lug cap
V2 sits tighter to prevent air leaks, with improved strength of threads.
WHY:
Jar lids can go lost or brocken or rusted.
As i could not find a replacement in the market, i printed it with pla becuase it is food safe.
ABOUT:
The design is very strong and durable, i designed it with thickest knotes and walls possbile, with extra layer of support on the top of threads. So do not be scared to close the lid with force. I am currently using a nylon folie before i seal it up to achive 100% seal as shown in following, If i come up with better solution i will update it.
HOW TO PRINT:
Print it with 100% infill.
Support is not necessarily needed.
Optionally with fuzzy wall. (in slicer)
DETAILS EXAMPLES:
The STL example provided is for jars with 61.50 mm, 100 mm mouth diameter.
I am also publishing an editable freeCad file, which can be edited to suite all other sizes.
All you need to do is to open the file and change the value in the spreadsheet.
As Example:
change it to X mm and save with ctrl + s (in my case to 65.8 mm)
select body and then ctrl + e to export as stl
Example 2:
Some Jars contain 6 knotes instead of 4.
This is also easy to do:
open the freecad file and then edit the PolarPattern by double click as following
change it from 4 to 6 then Ok Button
Save it with ctrl + s
click on Body
Export stl with ctrl +e
