I have been having a field day organizing my tool chest drawers with gridfinity, and I had been deliberating over how to organize my drill bits for quite a while. The tool chest I have only has about 50 mm vertical clearance in the drawers, so a compact, low-profile design scheme was very important to me. Most gridfinity drill bit organizers I encountered either took up far more space than my current solution (the original container) or were not very clearly organized (I want to look at my bits and immediately see each size present and labeled).

When I encountered WillS's solution, I was delighted with the ingenuity of preserving the drill bit organizers as used in the original box and designing a gridfinity bin that perfectly fits them. Only after printing the small bit bin however, I realized that my drill bit set had a slightly different organizer geometry and that the bits needed more clearance in order to fit. I am by no means a CAD expert, so I simply removed the old divider from WillS's model, created a new one a few millimeters further up, and filled in the gaps as best as I could. All things considered, I'm quite happy with the result!

Differences of the remix compared to the original

Remix of the small bit holder with more clearance at the top to accommodate for a variation in the drill bit sets. The small bit portion of my set includes two rows of bits as well as two 1/16" and two 5/64" bits and is a few millimeters taller than the original design.
