This is a modification of the original, but has a few changes.

First the original model says it's for use with an M3 nut and bolt. however i found this wasn't the case, at least for the M3 hardware i have. so this fits a M3 nut and is more captive so just drop it in the slot on the top and then screw in your screw, no need to get something to hold the nut in place.

Second, There is another remix for pens like Sharpies or other tools up to 12mm in diameter. the bottom is also open to allow for bigger tools.

to get the correct depth with the bigger adaptor leave the screw lose and  put in a piece of card slot or paper and press the tool head all the way down, then tighten the screw, this will make sure your not going to drag on your material or worse into the cutting mat or cutting strip under your mat and in the machine.

For power engraving i used the “pen” here.

it's just light enough where the Cameo 3 doesn't have problems lifting it. this might not be the same for older machines. for using a power engraving pen like this set your tool to “Sketch” and force to a 1 or 2, speed kinda doesn't matter i've done jobs on 1 and 9 and it was just fine, handled it like a champ. When you do your fill, i suggest doing “Spiral" and just set it as small as possible. unlike other drag tools you don't need to set it then scale it down or do multiple passes to get it to remove material.
