This is a collection of post bumpers for Labyrinth pinball. These post bumpers fit over existing posts, and snap on like any other rubber.
On most pinball machines the outlane posts are adjustable, to compensate for difficulty levels. Labyrinth does not have this option, thus these post bumper mods can help with the difficulty.
There are 3 post types in this collection:
- Right outlane extension - Fits over the post directly above the right inlane guide. Options are +6, +8, +10, or +12mm.
- Left double post extension (These are still fairly experimental) - This is a double post bumper that fits on both posts near the left target by the top of the left outlane. There are two options, the bulge and the shorty. The bulge seems to be the better of the two. Feel free to experiment.
- Didyms Helper - This goes on the left outlane post directly above the left inlane guide. This helps improve the Didymus ball save returning the ball in the inlane around 90% of the time. This one I highly recommend, its great.
Printing
All the tolerances in these models were designed to be printed with TPU. Keep in mind most pinball rubbers have a shore hardness of around 70a. Most TPU is around 90A, so the ball will not bounce as much as it would off a stock rubber. For more bounce use a lower TPU shore hardness.
- Material: TPU 83A-95A hardness. I recommend Sainsmart 95A TPU, or Siraya Tech Flex 85A, or for the best bounce consider using NinjaTek Ege 83A
- Nozzle size: .4mm
- layer height. .16mm
- Infill (depends on your preference and infill type): Generally around 10-15% is plenty.
Installation is super easy.
- Remove the existing red mini rubber,
- Simply press the extension on the outlane post and it will snap in place.
Updates:
- 10-6-2024: Added the Didymus helper alternate, that uses the existing post bumper to hold it in place, and allows hits directly to the bumper.
- 10-5-2024: Added various double post bumper options and added the Didymus helper.
- 10-1-2024: Adjusted height slightly and further refined the chamfer on the opening, making it easier to remove.
- 09-30-2024: Widened the top chamfer to make them easier to remove from the post.
