Dessicant Spool Holder for New and Original Style Sunlu Spools

This is an Adjustable Spool Holder for Silica Gel (Desiccant) / Spool Weight developed specifically for the Hydra AMS and Bambu Lab AMS. Still, it should be useful for regular dry boxes where the spool is on top of rollers/roller bearings. The internal compartment can be filled with silica gel to keep the filament dry or you can fill it with something else to add some weight if you prefer. 

These adjustable spool holders are a perfectly fit for the Sunlu spools. I got tired of using the adapters for the smaller spool holders and wanted something that was perfectly sized to the spool.

What size do I need?

• The Original Sunlu filament spools have an internal size of roughly 72mm. 
• Sunlu has been recently introducing a new “reusable spool” with a smaller 62mm diameter.

When in doubt, measure and you can pick the right model. The inner spool width dimensions are in the model name for easy identification.

Printing

When you import the model, all 3 parts are going to be in one file. Split the part into objects and orient each object on it's large flat face. No supports are required. PLA or PETG are fine. I used PLA just to use up some extra that I had on hand.

The main difference is the sizing is adjust to fit the sunlu spools. Both the new “reusable spool” style with the 62mm opening and the original spool style with the 72mm opening.
