In doing the fan upgrade I noticed the sock had torn, although still holding together it will soon tear completely. Although Peopoly can ship out replacements, I figured easy enough to make a mold just incase. Each .stl should be split into “Objects” for both the medium length and long length hotend (medium length is shown on the pictures).
Outer mold contains two versions, a solid and a split body. If using a proper 2 part silicone mix I would suggest the solid body and using the slicer to cut down the nozzle locating pin as a fill point. The split body would be for generic gasket sealer where I would put a dab in the recessed areas of the top nozzle mold (circled in picture) but do not exceed the extruded height, then press the nozzle mold in place and smearing the gasket material however you like.
Having made molds using high temp gasket sealer I would recommend dunking the molds in soapy water first, fells to release.
I haven't made an examples yet, I will update pics when I get a chance. I did a dry fit with the original sock and everything fit together without issue.
