I liked this excellent design to keep tools handy, but out of the way, needing mods to fit with Creality's Light Bar installed and for my expanded toolset.  These holders have a similar design and footprint to original model, but are lengthened and mirrored so you can use right side, left side or both.  I'm still a noob in 3D printing and it's been decades since this old guy used CAD, so this was a great learning opportunity for my printer, Orca slicer and FreeCAD.

Note that the original M3x16 bolts should be replaced with M3x20 bolts to have more thread engagement on the thickened mount for more solidity, but these will install with original bolts.

Printed with PLA, no special settings, but I did slow printhead speed to 75% for better finish and used ironing even though the “top” surface on the printer ends up on the bottom.

Note:  After you pull a model into your slicer, flip it over to place the final top-side down on the print plate, so no supports are necessary and the visible top surface will look better.

To install: I strongly recommend doing one side at a time if mounting both - just remove original bolts attaching the Light Bar, place on top of the light bar and replace bolts, using M3x20 bolts (and flat washers) if available. Tighten firmly but not excessively; the result should be very solid.

These were created for my toolset, but should be easily modifiable for yours if desired.  I moved heavier tools inboard as much as possible to reduce bending load, and put my most-needed tools on the right side.  I made spaces for all the original tools, but you'll need to install on both sides of the top bar to do this, or modify my models.  Note that there are spaces for Rod Sloth cleaning tools, gluestick, brass nozzle brush, 4-piece hex-driver set, needlenose pliers, larger diagonal cutters and better hex driver/wrench for easier nozzle changes, as well as storage for 3 extra nozzles behind the calipers.

There's room to add a couple more tool slots on the right side if you wish - I moved the scraper outboard for easy/fast access and moved it away from the bristles of the brass brush after my fingertips complained when grabbing the scraper.

CAUTION: carefully check for tool clearance in the Z-axis with the hot end at the very upper limit - I had to rearrange some tools to prevent the gantry from hitting stuff in the beginning. As shown in the photos, this collection clears fine.

I was a little worried about tools rattling and making more noise during printing, but fortunately this hasn't been a problem for me, even with so many things hanging off the sides.

Printer seems to run just fine with all tools installed; prints are same quality as before, but I did use the optional accelerometer attachment to recalibrate the printer's vibration-compensation settings once everything was in place.

Dust Cover:  If anybody cares, this cover fits the Ender 3 V3s just fine, although a little baggy in width.  But that comes in very handy with these tool holders on one or both sides - easily fits over everything and works great for me. Hex Drivers:  For machine maintenance, in case you're curious; there are custom countersunk holes on the left side for these.  Pretty well-made and handy, but also not an affiliate link.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

Modified to fit top bar with Ender LED Light Bar installed - original M3x16 bolts need to be replaced with M3x20 for strongest mounting.  Recreated from scratch using original model idea, to accommodate more tools, mirrored for right/left/both side installations.

This should install on printers without the Light Bar, but not as well-fitted; I have not tested this.

I'm happy to make this small contribution to the database in return for access to the fantastic original model I remixed.
