That's my Arcade Joystick Mechanism - Version 3, and I would say it is more suitable.

If, on the other hand, you have limited space to fit a mechanism and don't mind a looser feel, larger deadzone and/or you're making a controller with the idea of a thumbstick, then this is the design you might be after!

I have included the standard arcade tops/plates and compatible stems and balltop because you might just prefer the feel (compared to V3). Using the JSL_Joint.STL you can change between them (joy/thumbstick) at will.

With its smallest top, it comes in at ~19x53x53mm while still using the reliable standard micro switches. I am tempted to have a go at making my own SNK gamepad or a digital version of the Vectrex controller.
