Prusa MK3/S/+ Spool Extender [CC0]

A simple yet effective way to put wide spools on your MK3/S/+.

Simply take a spool, slide this adapter in, and slot it onto the spool holder with the wide part facing outwards. Make sure to wiggle/rotate the piece a bit to get it on properly, as it is a tight fit, and then push it all the way on the holder.

Print in PETG for best results and minimal friction.

PLEASE NOTE: Do NOT attempt to put full spools onto the printer using this tool. I cannot garuntee the safety of doing so, as this will apply 3x more force on the spool holder than intended. This is only meant to be able to use spools that are at LEAST 1/3rd empty, 3KG may be too much for the printer frame and/or spool holder to handle. You have been warned!
