Using jblake's dimensions of his reinforced opener, I redrew it in Fusion 360 so I more quickly scale to different sizes while keeping the thickness at 14mm and the “catch tabs” at 2mm.

This is the master template for the collection with a 65 mm opening. This is a step file, not STL or 3mf, to assist in scaling in a 3D editor like Fusion 360.

Redraw notes:

  1. Measure the size of the lid to which you wish to scale and scale the imported step file either up or down to that percentage.
  2. If scaling larger, negative extrude the top face to the 14mm. Also negative extrude the tabs down to 2mm.
  3. If scaling smaller, extrude the top so the distance from top to bottom is 14mm. Also, extrude the tabs up to 2mm.
  4. Fillet the outside edges and the inside of the handle with a 2mm radius.
  5. I would not suggest filleting the “teeth” as you will want the best grip from the sharp edges.

Printing notes:

  1. PETG
  2. 0.2mm layer
  3. 20%, rectilinear infill
  4. 3 perimeter layers
  5. No supports or brim

If you prefer a size in the collection and do not wish to do the above, let me know and I can create it if you like. Just send a message in Printables.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

Redraw to Fusion 360 from the STL file. I needed to be able to scale to different sizes then cut or extrude so each new size had the same, 14mm, thickness.
