Heat: Pedal to the Metal Shifter Boxes

This accessory for the board game Heat: Pedal to the Metal by Days of Wonder helps keep track of where the gear shift pawn is for each player. It also looks cool on the table. 
 

You can print the top flat, and insert pauses at specific layers to change filament colors.   Start with the player color, then the order goes black, orange, blue, white.   For the black car player color, I used grey  instead of black at the first filament change. 

To make it easier to print the top flat with no supports, I moved the  spacing rim from the bottom of the lid to inside the bottom box.
