EDIT: I apologize if you were one of the first 13 people who downloaded this model, the press frame had a mistake in it and I have since replaced it with the correct press frame.
Quick notes on printing:
The press body has some funkiness around the screw hole. This is on purpose and should trick your slicer into printing this area solid, giving more reinforcement where the pressure knobs go.
Your 3d printer should at least be able to clear .15mm tolerances to ensure everything fits correctly.
Assembly:
You should grease the main top and bottom roller connector and the gears in the gearbox if you plan to print etching. If your press makes some creaking noises when under heavy pressure you probably need more grease.
There is a small built in support piece in the extending wing frame. It is where the cylinder meets the build plate, remove this. Picture included
Features:
You can reuse your pressure knobs and gearbox from the last press if you can get them off without destroying them. The new parts have some features for easier assembly but will fit in the same connectors as the last design.
Smaller bottom roller to slow the press down and increased top roller so you can have an easier time rolling over etching plates.
Bed support is thicker, stronger, and easier to print. You could also use 16mm(5/8inch) dowel rods for bed support if you don't want to print them.
Easier to print handle and captive rotating handle for more comfortable printing(you may need to wiggle the handle loose and lubricate it so it does not squeak)
New extending wings upgrade. These provide more workspace to help feed and catch your matrix while working and fold way when you need more space or need to transport the press. They also make it possible to have all of this workspace while also being printable on a classic ender 3 style press. The wings are compatible with the base version of this press, so if you make the press first, you can decide to add the wings later without modifying the base frame.
New 8 inch press version. printable on standard 220 x 220 x 250 printers. Also printable on prusa style printers with split top and bottom rollers. (print the body and the ends separately and then glue together.
New mini 5 inch press, printable on 180mm 3d printers.
