I just recently started to practice drums and got myself a 6'' drum practice stand. When I want to practice outside, I find it difficult to find a spot at the perfect height and inclination. This is why I have designed this convenient stand that allows you to raise your practice pad by a few cms, incline it at 5degres and play anywhere!

You can also easily transport this rig: remove the bottom bolt, turn the bottom part of the stand around and fit it on the base of the drum pad, stick your sticks in the holes ;-)

Material required:

  • 3 parts 3D printed in the material you want (adjust dimensions in the 3D file if necessary, especially for sticks size)
  • 2 x M8 bolts, 20mm long
  • 1 x M8 nut, 6mm height, 12mm width (adjust the nut slot if different dimensions)
  • glue that works for you for metal-plastic bond (I used epoxy)

Assembly:

  • glue the M8 nut in its slot, making sure you have holes being aligned with the stand hole and that you do not put glue in the threads
  • glue the M8 bolt on the top of the stand, making sure you maintain the 5degres angle
  • glue the bolt adapter on top of your free bolt

Happy drumming and let me know if you need help to modify some dimensions ;-)
