Description

PDF

This is a system for draining All® detergent jugs.

As these bottles are large and cumbersome with an offset lid, the upper bottle is held at an angle to ensure complete draining and stability.

Assembly

  1. The straight tube goes on the destination/receiving jug, with the larger flared end on the jug, and the flat side facing the push-button spout.
  2. Slide a nut onto the tube and tighten.
  3. The angled tube goes on the source (mostly empty) jug, with the larger flared end on the jug, and the flat side facing the push-button spout.
  4. Slide a nut onto the tube and tighten.

Usage

Slowly and carefully tilt the source jug over while aligning the two tubes. When both “D” shaped tube ends are aligned, complete the tilting and let the top jug and tube slide fully into the bottom tube.

The bottom tube has a small vent hole on the flat side to ensure there is no trapped air bubble preventing full transfer. Provided there is enough room for the transferring liquid, you may leave the assembly to drain to completion.

Printing

It is an easy print with no support. Any material would work; I used PETG. There is no detailed requirement, so I used a .6 nozzle with .32 layer for speed.

Note: You will need to print 2 nuts.

The Design

This Fusion 360 design is not fully customizable, but you may change the length of the tubes (range: 20 to 60+; this one is 40) and the clearance between them (range: 0.1 to 0.4; this one is 0.3).
