Hello everyone! This is a 3D printed buffer tube stock that I have designed to closely resemble the Super Soaker Shot Blast stock. After finishing the Raider-style stock, it just didn’t seem right to not also do the Shot Blast stock. They’re both so well designed, and they can go on practically any blaster, so I decided to go for it!
Just like for the Raider-style stock, my goals for this project were to make the stock look close to the original while also making it easy to print and assemble, as well as make it as inexpensive as possible. The stock consists of four printed parts and is held together using either three 2-56/toy screws or three M3 screws, depending on the version of the stock that you print. The lock piece and main body of the stock do not require any support when printed, but the butt plates do require support. I tried creating built-in supports for the butt plates like I did for the Raider-style stock, but my results were very inconsistent. My tests with slicer supports were much nicer and more consistent, so I decided to forego built in supports and just recommend adding support in your slicer of choice.
I used the same buffer tube dimensions in this blaster as I did for the Raider-style stock, so it should be compatible with all blasters that stock is compatible with. I’ve also included two different versions of the body, one with knurling on the top and one without, to give people options for printing as well as options for any remixes they want to do.
I would recommend you use any extra screws you have on hand, but in the event you want specific screws to look for, here are some approximate screw lengths:
2-56 Screws: 9/32” Long
M3 Screws: 6mm Long
This model is not an exact copy of the Shot Blast stock, but hopefully it is a close enough imitation for those who are interested. I had a lot of fun working on this project, and I hope everyone else enjoys it as much as I have!
Thank you to Virus on Discord for all of his help with this project!
