This mount is designed to be adapted to lots of different things, so I have included the F3D file, AND STEPs.

It's original use is for this antenna: https://a.co/d/g9km0ca

I used ¼" carriage bolts for the antenna mount and 5/32 bolts for the socket.

Every hardware store near me only stocks imperial fasteners despite Canada being metric for like 40 years.

Assembly instructions (Generic):

  1. Insert ball into socket
  2. Insert nuts into hex holes in socket
  3. Screw bolts into nuts until ball can be moved with some effort, but not on its own
  4. press ring into bottom mount, ensuring the inner lip is facing down.
  5. rotate ring so cutout is inline with dovetail in mount
  6. slot in socket and rotate ring to prevent it from falling out

Assembly instructions (My Antenna):

  1. Remove black plastic plug from rear of square channel
  2. Unscrew the rear-most screw that fastens the mount plate to the square channel
  3. insert counterweight, with the fill hole facing up
  4. align screw holes and reinstall screw
  5. Bolt antenna into socket
  6. Insert ball into socket
  7. Insert nuts into hex holes in socket
  8. Thread bolts into nuts, do not tighten
  9. press ring into bottom mount, ensuring the inner lip is facing down.
  10. rotate ring so cutout is inline with dovetail in mount
  11. slot in socket and rotate ring to prevent it from falling out
  12. fill counterweight with sand or rocks or whatever until it seems balanced
  13. epoxy plug in
  14. tighten nuts until ball can be moved with some effort, but not on its own
