Carbon Filter Exhaust for QIDI Q1 Pro

With this mod you can use a carbon filter with your QIDI Q1 Pro.

Please use active carbon filters which you can buy online at Amazon or Aliexpress

Please print this exhaust duct out of ABS/ASA or PC. I have given you some examples in the links above. The material should withstand at least 70°C constantly without any heat creeping.

Print the parts with your printer (I have used a 0.4mm nozzle). insert the 4 M3 heatinserts and place the fan grill inside the print. The grill is angled, please place the grill with the angled part coming from above. The other way round is also working, but its easier if you do it the other way.

Cut the active coal foam as shown in the pictures and push it into the part. It doesnt matter if you use 2x5mm or 1x 10mm thick material. the outcome is the same.

Then firstly screw it onto the back panel of your printer and place the backpannel onto your machine. To replace the active coal filters, you can unscrew the exhaust fan from the inner side of the printer and pull the filters out. screw the fan back in and you are done with your maintenence.
