Simple way to slap a couple motors onto an Etch A Sketch and turn it into a CNC. 

We upgraded our Etch A Sketch CNC project since the first try. This post is a stepping stone to a harder build, but we thought it would be cool to share with the world!

NEMA 17 (pretty much any will work) 

You will need some M3 bolts, M3 heat set inserts, M2 bolts, and M2 heat set inserts to complete the build. 

  • M3 x 30 - stepper to blocks 
  • M3 x 12 - stepper block to frame and stepper back plate 
  • M3 x 8 - most (all?) other connections 
  • M2 x 8 - connecting back frame A & B with arms
