A simple model that facilitates the holding of soaked, rolled newspapers to practice cutting. It doubles as a water bottle holder as well. You will need some sort of round stake driven into the ground to place it on. The default stake hole diameter is 24mm. The f3d file is included if you want to change it, otherwise you can just scale the mount.
The threads accommodate a large range of newspaper roll sizes my rolls were around 60mm max (2.5in dia) if yours are bigger scale it up a bit, you will lose cutting area at the bottom on smaller rolls if you make it too big though.
I printed it in PLA to start, but I think it would also work great in something like a 95A TPU. I don't think the PLA is very likely to damage anything if you hit it, much less likely than hitting the wood stake anyways, but I think TPU would be even safer.
Other printing tips:
This printed just fine on my P1S without it, but if you have issues consider enabling “thick bridges” so the part where the stake rests prints stronger. Otherwise supports should not be needed, there should be no overhangs to worry about. 3 walls recommended, and gyroid or 3d honeycomb are probably best for strength in all directions.
Happy Cutting!
