Microscope slides' box

A colleague needed a box for microscope slides and found this model first: https://www.printables.com/model/810152-microscopy-slide-box .

It worked sufficiently, but after some usage, the following we needed some adjustment according to the way we work:

• Make the lid fit more tightly.
• Add some fixtures (we ended up using disk magnets 4 mm OD × 3 mm H)
• Make it possible to grab the slides by holding them from the ends, rather than from the slide's surface
• Add slots for self-adhesive labels that we use in the label printer (0.5 × 1 in)

It was tricky to modify the existing model because of the space needed for magnets and for taking slides from the ends, so we made it a new project. Overall dimensions: 155 mm × 85 mm × 31 mm (L×W×H).

These parts were modeled from scratch in Solidworks 2021 as part of work at Wageningen University and Research.
