I've been needing a compact yet functional garbage can in my 3D printing workspace for some time, so I decided to design and print one! This waste bin is specifically designed to maximize the full print volume of the Bambu Lab A1 Mini, utilizing the entire 180x180x180mm build area. Whether it's for catching small scraps of filament, failed prints, or general waste, this bin is the perfect solution for keeping your workspace tidy.
The design is split into two parts to make printing and assembly straightforward. The two halves can be glued together- personally I used UV curing glue which works great through transparent filament, but superglue would work great too.
I printed mine using transparent PLA with a minimal gyroid infill pattern, which gave it a nice balance of strength and lightness. Feel free to experiment with different filament types and infill patterns to suit your preferences. The .3mf file is pre-configured and should be ready to print, but you might need to adjust the print plate settings if you're using a different printer or setup.
