A storage solution for 115mm angle grinder disks.

Add as many compartments of different lengths as you need to store, organize and protect your disks.

Printing

I've grouped several of the components together to make it easier to download the parts you want.

  • Basic Case - this contains both end caps and a 20mm spacer.
  • Spacer Disk - this is a single component required when you wan to ad done of the…
  • Stacks - the outer cover and corresponding internal threaded spacers for each size are grouped together in each of these files.

You will need to print the Basic 20mm case parts - a front and a back end cap, and a 20mm shell. If that's all you need, you are done!

If you want to store more disks, print one “spacer disk” with each corresponding stack file. I've made stack sizes for 20mm, 30mm, 40mm and 50mm.

Screw the spacer disk onto the threaded part (you may want to add a spot of glue to keep these parts together), and then add to your existing stack.

Regardless of stack size, you can access any individual stack by unscrewing the two disks either side of it.

A note on strength - the thread is the weakest point of the design. I have added three tiny slots down the centre of the thread to enforce your slicer to add some more substantial internal ribs. This really helps strength-wise without a big impact on overall filament construction. If this is still too weak for your liking, increase the number of printed walls.
