Joystick buttons on a wire (e.g. for keyboard shortcuts)

Enclosures for buttons and a joystick controller. Place the buttons and the joystick controller in different locations.

Additional material:

• EG STARTS Joystick controller (https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01LZBFMWG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) or one with screw holes in the same positions
• Buttons with a 7mm or 12mm shaft diameter (e.g. https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0811QKG1R/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1)
• Cables (I use speaker wire for its robustness)
• A couple of screws
• Some soldering an maybe crimping skills

You can use software like Enjoyable (Mac), AntiMicro, reWASD or JoyToKey (Windows) to map the buttons to keyboard shortcuts.

To have the cable on the opposite side of the button enclosure, simply mirror the model in your slicer.
