These parts are used in the lower rudder castings on the Hobie 16 to adjust rudder tension. They are designed to replace the original acetal screws and plungers. The factory adjustment screws require an unusually wide flathead screwdriver, so I redesigned the screws with hex and Torx head options. The plunger has been slightly altered to allow printing without supports.
Two options for the screws are available:
H16_Rudder_Adjustment_Screw_H8 has an 8mm hex head.
H16_Rudder_Adjustment_Screw_T50 has a T50 Torx head.
The Torx option is preferable if you have a Torx tool long enough to reach into the rudder casting. Before installing the screws, I wrapped the threads in PTFE tape and applied grease (the factory ones are prone to seizing).
Screws are part #60450010 in the Hobie catalog.
Plungers are part #10440000 in the Hobie catalog.
