Description

PDF

This is the first version of my vertical axis wind turbine. (V.A.W.T.)

This first version is completely inspired and modified by the Aeolus project.

In the future I will publish other changes after carrying out the first tests of operation in wind.

The project requires many hours of printing, during printing I always used supports.

I will add more photos with support as soon as possible.

Try printing this and let me know if you have any suggestions for improving the project !

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

This is the first version of my vertical axis wind turbine. (V.A.W.T.)

I started by modifying the VAWT Aeolus V2 project.

The existing project was very beautiful but with considerable printing and assembly difficulties for me.

  1. I modified the center to support the 608zz bearings.
  2. I modified the arms to make assembly easier.
  3. I modified the blades to fit them together.
  4. I have inserted the photos for an assembly order.
  5. [ 17/09/2024 ] Added the printable central support adapter for threaded rod M8 and metal tube.
  6. [ 18/09/2024 ] Added top rain cap for bearings.

Printed with PLA +

Infill 10%

For the central turbine support  I used a threaded rod M8 x 1000mm

inserted on a metal tube with a diameter of 19.5 mm.
