Magnetic lid holder IKEA BYGGLEK

I bought the IKEA BYGGELIK box for my nephew to organize his Lego models. I didn't like the loose lid though so I printed this little magnet holder that allows it snap close and stay in place.

I used 4 10x2mm magnets and glued them using 5 minute epoxy. As counterpart to the magnets I used slim steel strips that I got from the local hardware store. The pieces are 30x10x2 mm in size. The length shouldn't matter though. I just used longer strips to have more surface area to apply the epoxy to. They shouldn't be much wider than 10mm to fit inside the lid. The magnet holder is designed so the lid completely closes with minimal gap.

• 2 printed BYGGLEKLidKepper.stl
• 2 printed BYGGLEKLidKeeper.stl mirrored
• 4 magnets 10x2mm
• 4 pieces of steel 30x10x2mm.
