I was fixing a game cube for my brother. It has apparently lived a rough life before he got it. As with many of these consoles I have seen at some point it has fallen on something and busted up the side vent grating.

I figured I would just remove the broken vent and print a new one.  I also decided I seeing as the system was getting a replacement laser assembly and the PicoBoot mod created by WebHDX that I would make a grate which a reminder that it was a hard modded console.

Files and printing:
There are three files made to print with a .4mm nozzle with. Print them solid and with the large side facing down.

Three files are:
1. Default style grid pattern.
2. Nintendo Game Cube logo on the default style grid.
3. PicoBoot Logo on the default style grid.

Installation:
Simply print the replacement grill of your choice, in whatever plastic you feel is best. The file is by default large size down to be printable without supports.

While its printing cut the rest of the broken grill out and make sure you get rid of any burs. (Flush cutters worked great for the cutting and a small file or knife can get rid of any remaining bits.)

The grate simply drops into place, should be slip fit, may require a slight bit of pressure as the case hole is actually slightly tapered.  It is also intentionally slightly thinner than the case is so the internal mesh can still be used if you are repairing the non-fan side. It will still slide into place just fine.

Use a couple of drops of glue to secure it in place. (Make sure if you use one with a logo that its properly oriented before you glue it in. )
