I DID A BIG MISTAKE, DONT KNOW HOW. BUT I UPLOADED THE ACTUAL STORAGE BOX FILES WITHOUT THE DIVIDER.
Sorry to whoever downloaded the files and printed, the files are now correct.
This is my first time posting a model so go easy on me!
I was searching a while online for a rugged case which I could use for toiletries while traveling.
There was no models that I could find, so I decided to design my own.
The Rugged Box (Parametric) by Whity was used as the foundation for the design.
I have provided a step version of every file, so everything should be customizable.
It should also be quick and easy to make your own custom inserts.
My friends and family loves the functionality of these boxes. I have printed 3 so far, but I have multiple requests from close friends and family.
The boxes come in two sizes (This is internal storage dimensions Width x Depth x Height).
I personally use the 170mm height one, but it does require the larger type of suitcases.
My fiancé has 145mm height and I've yet to encounter a suitcase or bag where it does not fit.
The lid and latches can be mounted using M3x30 threaded bolts as the original design by Whity. I have also designed some 3D printable hinge bolts with a glue on end cap instead, which is used for my own prints.
The Top Insert - Lid and Top Insert - Lid Handle has to be glued together.
The bottom and top inserts, require support for the insert slot at the bottom.
These boxes can probably be printed in whatever material you want.
I've used ESUN PLA +, and my boxes has been on multiple plane and car rides without any problems. As a bonus PLA + is very easy to print and it looks great
I've provided a Bambulab .3mf file with my own printing settings, if you don't have a Bambulab printer, below is a list of the most important settings.
The author remixed this model.
Kept the original box and latches.
Added a slot in the box for inserts and resized the boxes to the required dimensions.
The Inserts and hinge bolts are my own original designs
