While repairing a clogged valve on my compressor (pieces of the gasket break off inside), I did a test run with the cover off. Unfortunately the fan blades caught my shirt. The cooling fan blew apart, and I couldn't find a replacement. This may or may not fit other air compressors.

For reference:

Other tools/considerations:

  • Snap ring plyers
  • Soft mallet
  • Thin file or sandpaper

Rafts:

No

Supports:

Yes

**Resolution:**

.2mm

Infill:

30%

**Filament:** generic PLA

Notes:

PLA has held up so far. But compressors get HOT. It's probably better with a high temp filament if you have it. Use supports for the bottom of the blades (unless you have bridging really dialed in), as they are slightly offset from the outer edge.

Post-Printing =============

Mounting

Size is already designed with .2mm extra tolerance. It's supposed to be a snug fit. If you are struggling to get it on, the bottom inside edge needs to be sanded slightly to remove the extra width common on the first layers. I had to tap mine a little with a rubber mallet to fully seat it. But you don't want it loose enough to wiggle around.
