I recommend printing in PLA+ or PETG. You will need just a little flex to put the hook into place on a pole. This is by design to ensure a good no-slip grip.
I printed in matte PLA which did work, but it cracked slight due to the stress.
My next print was PLA+ in 0.28mm layers with 4 walls and 30 infill. Perfect flex and fit!
Supports aren't strictly necessary, but I did have one misprint due to the very small bed contact area on the coil. I then used slim tree supports which prevented that issue. There were also tiny trees along the length of the hook body. I used a deburr tool and it cleaned up very well.
While this is strong enough to hold my dremel tool, I conceived it as a rag hook … I consider it light duty.
