Rugged tool box for bits

Made to accept various bits and parts from ratchet to screwdriver. Some generic and space for hex bits. Many spaces for ¼" sockets.

Additional hardware

• 6x M4x25mm screws for the rugged box
• Suitable glue to glue the inserts to the insides of the box.

Printing

• Print box and latches with flat sides down (I used PLA+)
• Print TPU gasket using slow speed.
• Print TPU inserts. A soft TPU is preferable
• Print screwdriver holder parts (I used PLA+)

Assembly

• Assemble the box
• Glue each insert to the box
• Glue the screwdriver holder parts to the inserts

Example box

I've used this box close to a year now, and the TPU inserts have held up very well. No particular wear. The bits seldom loosens.

Box: No modifications. Added inserts.

Inserts: Original inserts used as inspiration for dimensions and base structure. Most details adjusted.
