An abstract interpretation of a Mushroom as a lamp. This model is not perfect but its imperfections make it a 3D-printed model.

Printed both parts separately with the orientation upright

Top:

  • 100% rectilinear infill
  • Stopped at the top layers to swap colors
  • Support is Tree Slim (auto) with 45% threshold and support critical sections only enabled
  • 0.2mm layers on a 0.4 nozzle
  • Mine printed with an unequal amount of filament creating a gradient
  • Filament is BambuLab PLA Matte Matte Ivory White (https://us.store.bambulab.com/products/pla-matte-filament?variant=40489681780872)

Bottom:

  • Support normal (auto)
  • 0.2mm layers on a 0.4 nozzle
  • Threads didn't print that great
  • Filament is BambuLab  PLA Basic Green (10500) currently out of stock (https://www.additive-x.com/shop/bambu-lab-pla-basic-green-with-spool-1.html)

For the light, I used a soft light with this light kit from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BQRFHNK?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

Things that aren't perfect:

  • the connection between the top and the bottom. I made an interlocking mechanism but it's more attached by friction
  • the weird lines on the shade seen on one of the pictures
  • the thread for the lamp kit, mine didn't print it well but enough to secure the lamp
