A laser cut-table and 3D printable plate to hold a vive tracker onto a shoe using laces using ¼ 20 tripod bolts.
I have tested this using the htc vive 3.0 trackers however they should be compatible with all trackers that use ¼ 20 bolts.
If you laser cut this model use 3mm thick material. I suggest using wood as the base material and sanding down the inner edges of the shoe lace holes.
The model I originally made used these bolts from McMastercarr
https://www.mcmaster.com/92865A172/ .
However can be supplemented for ½" round head bolts in a pinch using the included spacer if you don't mind the bolt protruding from the plate.
I designed this in fusion 360 to be somewhat parametric to fit different shoes if the default model doesn't fit well. So if you find the hole spacing to be off. I have including the source file for modification.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
