I recently bought some heat set inserts and it is apparent that the actual hole size printed is very relevant to the type and size of heat set insert to be used. I wanted to identify what size hole should be sent to my printer (a Creality Ender 3 S1 Pro) to get the correct (best) fit for the heat set insert. This will vary for each print set up I guess. I measure each hole printed and list the actual size on a spreadsheet compared to the designed size.
The gauge is 148 x 140 x 5 mm thick, text is raised 1mm
3D printing settings
Ender 3 S1 Pro, E-Sun PLA nozzle temp 200 bed 60, all other settings essentially set from generic PLA, prints fine.
Layer 1 to 25 is printed in white, I then paused the print and changed to black and printed layer 26 to 30 in black to emphasize the numbers printed.
I created the design with Autodesk Fusion, sliced with Creality slicer. No problems encountered.
